The seventh CIRM Annual Technical Workshop will be held as an in-person event in Hamburg on 17th and 18th April 2024. The purpose of the meeting is to progress CIRM's technical agenda, discussing ongoing and future work.

Accommodation

With the assistance of Wärtsilä ANCS, CIRM has arranged a special rate for accommodation at the Leonardo Hotel Altona, located 25 mins from Hamburg Airport and 15 mins' walk from the workshop venue.

  • The group rate is €129 per night for single occupancy or €149 per night for double occupany (inc. VAT and city tax), guaranteed until 5th March 2024.
  • The rate applies for 3 nights (check-in Tuesday 16th April; check-out Friday 19th April) and includes breakfast.
  • Bookings can be amended or cancelled free of charge up to 7 days before arrival.

Agenda

The Workshop will feature technical reports from the CIRM Technical Office, focused technical discussions, and presentations from CIRM members on technical matters of interest.

The full programme is under development, and will include (among other subjects) consideration of CIRM's Position Paper on Revision of IEC 60945, counterfeit GMDSS consumable items, the CIRM Code of Practice for Service Companies, ECDIS matters including S-100 and developments in the ECS/sub-ECDIS space, the Maritime Connectivity Platform (MCP), a VDR carriage requirement discussion, preparation for external meetings (IMO, ITU and IHO), etc.
