It was fantastic to be in Korea last month for CIRM’s 75 th Annual Conference held at the magnificent Westin Josun hotel, Busan.

There was a real buzz, and we were delighted to have many CIRM members and visitors attending from all over the world. There were many excellent presentations given on lots of interesting topics including digital maritime communications, S-100 ECDIS and ECS, service matters, autonomous shipping, cyber security, AIS & GNSS spoofing, and more.

It was amazing to experience some of the local culture visiting the National Maritime Museum and Oryukdo Skywalk, as well getting together for the Korean BBQ group dinner.

Congratulations to all the prize winners and well done to Hannu Peiponen of Furuno Finland for receiving the Jerry Parker Award for Outstanding Contribution to CIRM.
