Luqa International Airport is only 20 minutes away from the Hilton.
Taxi services from the Malta International Airport to all localities in Malta are based on a fixed tariff... but remember: It's always better to enquire and agree on a fare before you enter a taxi. The rate at time of writing (June 2019) is EUR 20.00 per vehicle basis. The white taxi service can pick up passengers from anywhere, except bus-stops. A regular taxi normally accommodates four persons, however the number of suitcases being carried must also be taken into consideration with regard to the space required in the vehicle.

In April the high is usually 20 degrees Celsius and the low 12 degrees, with an average rainfall of 3 days in the month. In May the high is usually 24 degrees and the low 15 degrees with an average rainfall of 1 day in the month, so we might assume that we will have good warm weather. Fingers crossed!
Dress code is always smart casual and this time you will have the Wednesday evening to yourselves so that you can explore the locality and enjoy an evening out with friends. The programme will be published once we have some meat on it – most likely in the early part of 2020. Ideas and contributions welcome.
Malta is an archipelago in the central Mediterranean between Sicily and the North African coast. It's a nation known for historic sites related to a succession of rulers including the Romans, Moors, Knights of Saint John, French and British. It has numerous fortresses, megalithic temples and the Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum, a subterranean complex of halls and burial chambers dating to circa 4000 B.C.
On the largest island, also called Malta, is the capital Valletta, a medieval fortress city and site of high baroque St John’s Co-Cathedral containing 2 Caravaggio paintings; Mdina, a walled medieval city; and beaches both lively (Golden Bay, Mellieha Bay) and quiet (Paradise Bay). On the island of Gozo, Dwejra Bay features natural coastal formations, dive sites including the Blue Hole–an underwater chimney–and a lagoon nicknamed the Inland Sea. Between Malta and Gozo, tiny Comino offers the Blue Lagoon, popular for snorkelling. https://www.visitmalta.com
