The CIRM Annual Conference & AGM 2019 will take place over 3 days from 2 - 4 April 2019, at the Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso hotel in the area of Vouliagmeni, Greece. The hotel is just 18km from Athens city centre and 19km from Athens International Airport (fare approx. €35).
The hotel is ideal for the CIRM conference, having plenty of outside space, great food and an award-winning spa. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. The hotel is of our usual standard – we have contracted 60 rooms (but this can be increased based on demand).
We have another hotel block reserved at the 4-star Amarilia just across the road (first come-first served, only 20 rooms available), also with free Wi-Fi throughout. This hotel costs less, with good clean rooms.
Both hotels are one minute from the beach. Athens is 20 mins by car, traffic permitting.
Local Attractions: * Spa & Thalassotherapy Center * Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion * Lake of Vouliagmeni * Ancient Town of Thorikos at Lavrio * Vouliagmeni Tennis Club * Vorres Museum in Peania * Vouliagmeni & Glyfada Yacht Marina * ‘Koutouki’ Cave in Peania * Glyfada 18-hole Golf Course * Glyfada Shopping Center
According to the ancient Greeks, a healthy mind leads to a healthy body... so CIRM will once again hold free daily yoga classes courtesy of Darja. Delegates and partners are welcome to join!
